Terms of service

What you get, what you may do with the materials, how billing works, and the things we deliberately do not claim.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms govern your use of https://app.fayferz.com and the Fayferz courses. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

1. Who we are

Fayferz is operated by Fayferz Home Schooling Apps, Suite 214, Learning Lane, Wilmington, DE 19801, United States. Contact: hello@fayferz.com.

2. Accounts

Accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or over to create one, and you are responsible for anything done under it. Child profiles exist inside your account; children do not receive their own credentials.

You may invite one additional adult to your family account. Both adults appear separately in the account activity log.

Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly at support@fayferz.com if you think someone else has access.

3. What you get

Depending on your plan:

  • Free account — the complete FYP Early Start Phonics course, the first two lessons of every other course, and their printable materials.
  • Individual course purchase — permanent access to that course, including future revisions to it.
  • Family plan — access to all published courses for up to four child profiles, for as long as the subscription is active.

Course content is revised over time. We may improve, reorder or replace lessons, and we may retire a course; if we retire one you have purchased individually, we will tell you at least 60 days beforehand and refund you if a comparable replacement is not available.

4. What you may do with the materials

You may:

  • Print and photocopy worksheets and books for the children in your own household.
  • Use the materials in a small co-op of up to five families, provided each family has its own account.
  • Keep printed copies after a subscription ends.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, sub-license or publicly post the videos or PDFs.
  • Use the materials in a fee-charging school, tutoring business or learning centre without a separate licence.
  • Upload the content to file-sharing services, or use it to train machine learning models.

5. Billing and refunds

Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in advance until cancelled. Cancel from your dashboard at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for and no further charge is made.

Refunds: 30 days, no questions asked, on any course or subscription. Reply to your receipt email.

Prices may change. Existing subscribers are given at least 30 days' notice, and any increase takes effect at the next renewal, never mid-period.

Regional pricing applies automatically in a number of countries. Using a VPN to obtain regional pricing you are not eligible for is a breach of these terms.

6. What we do not claim

This section matters, so it is written plainly.

Fayferz is not an accredited school. We are a curriculum and course provider. We do not issue diplomas, certificates of graduation, or credentials recognised by any government or examination board.

We do not guarantee regulatory acceptance. Our records, plans and reports are designed around what education authorities commonly ask for, and they satisfy the large majority of requests. We cannot guarantee that any particular authority, assessor or school will accept them, because requirements differ by jurisdiction and by individual.

We are not affiliated with Oxford University Press or the University of Oxford. "Oxford-aligned" describes the sequence and teaching approach of our courses. It is not a licence, endorsement or partnership.

We do not guarantee learning outcomes. Course descriptions state what a learner working at the expected pace will typically be able to do. Children differ.

Legal information is not legal advice. Our country guides and blog articles summarise homeschooling regulations for orientation. Always confirm your obligations with the authority named for your area.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to breach the security of the service, scrape it at scale, interfere with other users, or submit unlawful content through our forms. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

8. Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not promise it. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Course videos and worksheets can be downloaded, which is the intended mitigation for outages and for connectivity problems at your end.

9. Our liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Fayferz is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or close an account for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law — with notice and an explanation except where that is not legally possible.

11. Changes to these terms

We will email account holders at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
