Quizzes sync the next time you are online. This was built specifically at the request of our South African and rural Australian families.

Children do not have their own logins — profiles sit inside the parent account, so no child-held credentials exist. We collect no behavioural data for advertising purposes, do not sell data to third parties, and process only what is needed to run the courses and produce your progress reports. Our practices are designed around GDPR and COPPA requirements, and you can export or delete everything from your dashboard.

Yes. Your dashboard shows every lesson opened, every quiz attempted with its score, time spent per subject and a dated activity trail per child. That same data generates the attendance log and progress reports you can export as PDFs.

Yes. You can invite a second adult to your family account with full access to all children's profiles and progress. Both adults appear separately in the activity log so you can see who marked what.

It means our sequence, teaching order and problem-solving emphasis follow the tradition of Oxford University Press primary materials and the England National Curriculum they are written to — particularly the synthetic phonics progression for reading and the reasoning-first approach to mathematics. Fayferz is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of Oxford University Press or the University of Oxford.

Ten levels: FYP, KG and Grades 1 through 8. Core subjects are Mathematics and English at every level, Science from KG upwards, and Computing from Grade 4. Each level has between two and four courses, and a full academic year of one core subject runs to 36 weeks.

Yes. Every maths and English course includes a downloadable mapping document showing how each unit corresponds to US Common Core domains, the England National Curriculum programmes of study, the Australian Curriculum content descriptions, and South African CAPS outcomes. The mappings are honest about where the sequence differs — some topics arrive a year earlier or later than a given national scheme.

Yes, and we encourage it where appropriate. Progress is tracked per course, not per child, so a child can work through Grade 5 maths while completing Grade 3 English. This is one of the genuine advantages of home education over a school class.

Quizzes and unit tests are marked instantly with per-question feedback, so you can see which specific sub-skill failed rather than just a total score. Extended writing tasks are not auto-marked; instead each one comes with a marking rubric and three annotated model answers at different standards so you can judge your child's work against real examples.

Yes. Every course includes printable worksheets, and the reading courses include 30 decodable storybooks as PDFs. Everything is designed to print cleanly in black and white on A4 or US Letter. There are no physical shipments — which keeps costs down and means nothing is out of stock.

Grade 8 is designed as preparation for formal examination courses — IGCSE and GCSE internationally, high-school algebra and English in the US, or NIOS in India. The Grade 8 maths and English courses explicitly cover the content those programmes assume you already have, including a dedicated exam-technique unit. We do not currently offer Grade 9 and above.

Fayferz is a homeschooling app and online course platform for children from the Foundation Year Programme (FYP, ages 3–4) through to Grade 8 (ages 12–13). It is built for parents delivering their child's education at home, whether full-time home educators, families supplementing school, or expat families between school systems. Every course includes video lessons, printable worksheets, auto-marked quizzes and a progress report you can hand to an education authority.

No. Each lesson tells you exactly what to do and in what order, and every maths and English lesson includes a short method note for the adult explaining the approach being taught — which matters because written methods have changed since most of us were at school. Roughly four in five Fayferz parents have no teaching background.

Every track begins with a short placement check that takes about fifteen minutes per subject. It is common and completely normal for a child to sit at different levels in different subjects — for example Grade 4 maths and Grade 2 English — and Fayferz lets you set each subject independently. You can move a child up or down at any time without losing completed work.

Far fewer than a school day, because one-to-one teaching wastes almost no time. As a guide: 30–45 minutes for FYP, 1–1.5 hours for KG, 1.5–2.5 hours for Grades 1–2, 2.5–3.5 hours for Grades 3–4, and 3–5 hours by Grades 5–8. Every course page lists its expected hours per week so you can build a realistic timetable.

Yes. Creating an account is free and gives you the complete FYP Early Start Phonics course plus the first two lessons of every other course, including their worksheets and quizzes. No card details are required to sign up.

Joining mid-year is straightforward. Take the placement check, start at the recommended lesson rather than at lesson one, and use the scope-and-sequence document to see which earlier topics were skipped. Most families who transfer from school in the spring term find they need to fill two or three specific gaps rather than repeat a whole year.

Homeschooling is legal in every country we serve, but what you must do to comply varies from nothing at all to a formal application with an interview. The United States regulates state by state; Australia and New Zealand require registration or exemption before you begin; the United Kingdom requires only a deregistration letter; South Africa registers provincially; the Philippines works through recognised provider schools. In most cases, yes. We generate the four things authorities typically ask for: a dated attendance log, a written scope-and-sequence for each subject, samples of completed and graded work, and assessment results over time. All four export to PDF. We cannot guarantee acceptance because requirements differ by jurisdiction and assessor, but these are the documents that satisfy the overwhelming majority of requests.

No, and we are deliberately clear about this. Fayferz is a curriculum and course provider, not a registered or accredited school, and we do not issue recognised diplomas. Families who need accreditation typically pair our courses with an umbrella school, a DepEd-recognised provider in the Philippines, or an external examination board such as Cambridge or NIOS.

Yes. You can export a transcript listing every course completed, the hours logged, assessment scores and the grade-level equivalence, formatted for a school admissions office. Expat families moving between countries use this most often, and schools following a British curriculum generally recognise the sequence immediately.

Every course has a scope-and-sequence document listing each unit, the topics covered, the materials used and the assessment method. Download the ones for your child's subjects, add your timetable, and you have the learning plan that Australian state authorities, Tusla in Ireland and the New Zealand Ministry of Education all ask for.

Individual courses are priced between $19 and $64 as a one-off purchase with lifetime access. The Family plan gives every course at every grade level to up to four children for one monthly or annual fee. Full details are on the pricing page, and there is a free tier that never expires.

Per family. One account covers up to four children on the Family plan, each with their own separate profile, placement and progress records. Larger families should contact us — we will not charge you twice for the same lessons.

Yes. Subscriptions can be cancelled from your dashboard at any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Individually purchased courses are yours permanently and are unaffected by cancelling a subscription.

Yes. Regional pricing applies automatically in a number of countries including South Africa, the Philippines, India, Nigeria and Kenya, and is reflected in the price you see at checkout. We also have a bursary programme for families who cannot afford the reduced rate — email us and we will sort it out without requiring documentation.
